CRAZY PLACE: Nazca, Peru

After months of hiatus, the Crazy Places feature is back with it’s newest entry: The Nazca Lines.

The Nazca Lines are a series of ancient geoglyphs located in the Nazca Desert in southern Peru. Covering more than 50 miles, the lines cross desert and mountains to create images and diagrams that can only be seen by airplane.

The origins of the lines are disputed, and some theorists even suggest they were constructed with help from extraterrestrials in possession of advanced flying machines. Hmmm.
