Doe Bay Fest
The Doe Bay Festival is folk/acoustic music festival held on a lake somewhere in Washington. It looks like about the most awesome experience that could ever exist.
The Head & The Heart, John Vanderslice, Damien Jurado, Champagne Champagne and many more will be playing. This year the festival takes place on August 11-14, which happens to be just the right time to prevent many of us from going.
Perfectly edited video featuring The Head and The Heart’s ‘Rivers and Roads.’
Thank you Joey Kelly.
Faulkner vs. Hemingway
Take heed, my friends–even Nobel prize winning literary artists embrace trash talking as part of their competitive spirits. Behold below this exchange between William Faulkner and Ernest Hemingway.
Faulkner: “He has never been known to use a word that might send a reader to the dictionary.”

Hemingway: “Poor Faulkner. Does he really think big emotions come from big words?”
Would you like to know who won this debate?
